I am back from Cameroon completely exhausted, but fully pleased with the outcome of the trip. We are now fully operational in Cameroon. Our doctors are treating patients, and everything is beginning to work as it should.
I look forward to speaking with you and sharing stories of how this program is saving and enhancing lives. Please feel free to give me a call to discuss how we can help your Loved Ones back home.
Again, please help us spread the word.
Greetings from Cameroon. I am in Bamenda today where myself and Dr Paul Achu will be visiting our Member’s Loved Ones today and tomorrow. We spent three hours with a Loved One this morning conducting a thorough exam. From this exam we determined that this patient would need consistent care to control her diabetes. Once it is under control we may be able to reduce the number of doctor visits, but for now she will see Dr. Achu every other month.
This process we call the Plan of Care approach. You can read more about it on our website, but the concept is after a thorough first exam our doctors will suggest a Plan of Care to treat the patient over the next year. The Plan of Care may change as the patient’s condition improves, so the Plan of Care will consistently be re-evaluated. Our Medical Advisory Board devised this approach, and in practice it makes a lot of sense in treating and preventing disease.
There is much more to report, but I will leave that to the next email. We are humming along here, and very pleased to see the program working well.
We are now into our second week of operations. It has been heart warming to see the program work so smoothly and witness first hand the commitment of our doctors to treating our Member’s Loved Ones.
We are already seeing early on how this service is going to save lives through disease prevention and health education. Help us spread the word. Together we can have a great impact on the healthcare system in Cameroon.
MyDoctorCameroon Founder Charles Agbor will be returning to Cameroon on Saturday, January 14, 2012 to coordinate the care of the first group of Loved Ones in Cameroon. Our Physician Network is very excited to begin working with our Member’s Loved Ones. All were impressed with the Online Health Record and the system MyDoctorCameroon has in place.
Charles will be in Cameroon for the next 6 weeks coordinating care, running continued training on the Patient Fusion Online Health Record, training our Administrators and Auditors, and recruiting new Hub and Specialty Physicians. By the time Charles is on his way back to the United States in late February MyDoctorCameroon will have treated many Loved Ones, opened a new hub, and set the ground work for hundreds of additional Loved Ones to be cared for.
Registration is now open. Click on the New Member Sign-up link at the top or bottom of every page. Welcome to the MyDoctorCameroon family.
